Phrax rubbed his shoulder, trying to shrug out the unusual stiffness in his neck, then rolled his shoulder, the combat jacket's fabric brushing quietly at the tree he sat against. This smell was very, very unusual. A Vampire and a Human? Walking together? The 21st Century brought all kinds of new dilemnas. Phraxius had adapted to 2 milennia's worth of change, he could adapt to this.
With a very strong hit, that muscle of his neck finally relaxed, the leather glove (fingerless, his nails did not allow anything else) cracking slightly.
As he was literally a couple of hundred yards from them, he simply roared a scream of pain. "HELP!!" Humans were too compassionate, always falling for things. But anything to get their attention.

Jessalyn chucked softly, "I doubt keeping them is that hard, your doing wonderfuly now" "Lord, you must have been walking with purpose to get all the way here, but we shouldn't be that far off, now."
Jessalyn, squinted through the darkness, there was something laying on the ground, a couple of yards, a little off the path they were following.

Lily followed Jessalyn's gaze to the odd shape on the ground. They took a few stepped towards it, with Lily holding her breath, only to realize it was just a big branch. They both laughed and Lily shrugged of the odd feeling that came over her.
Out of no where she heard "HELP!!" Well, that doesn't sound to good...really what else can happen tonight. "Should we go check it out or leave it alone?" Lily asked, really hoping for the latter.

Realizing it was only a it was only an abnormally large stick, they laughed together before a cry for help rang through out the night. She quickly nodded her head 'yes' and they started moving.
As they got closer, she saw a man standing their, Lily's eyes squinted though she couldn't see. "Lily, please stay behind me, and if I say run, run quickly North and don't look back. Do you understand?" Lily stared at her for a moment before nodding, Jessalyn could hear her heart pounding in her chest.
There was something wrong with the cry for help, and the air had that same strange scent of dog. She braced herself as they moved forward to see the man.

Phraxius grimaced, juggling a knife casually as a cat twirls it's tail. As he stepped out of the tree's shadow, the crescent moon's light lit him up.
He wore a black vest with a dirty and torn combat jacket over it, with several black and blue patches in it. He wore combat trousers almost professionally, like he was born to them, and tough sturdy army boots. "Well, I smelt something unusual, I didn't expect this." He almost glared at them, his frown of bemusement was so deep.

"I'm not gonna run and leave you here, besides I can handle myself." Lily said with confidence, even though she didn't really feel confident. She watched with fascination as Jessalyn sniffed the air. Thats strange.
"Wait were are u going" Lily yelped as Jessalyn started to move forward.

Jessalyn started to move foward until she looked at the man, she had heard what he said, and wondered if Lily did.
She looked at the man, with a combat jacket on. "Excuse me, Sir I believe you called for help, is there anything thing I assist you with?" Her tone was icy, and dripped with distain. "An as for what you were expecting, I with the up most certainly didn't expect this"

Phraxius rolled his neck, never taking his eyes of either of the girls. From the subtle way he took a fighting stance, the catch of the blade and the frown turning into a steely glare, you could tell this was not some bog standard war veteran out of work.
He drew his muscular arm back and threw the blade with ,force incomprehensible even to a Vampire, straight at the dark-haired girl.

Jessalyn watched him, her eyes never leaving his. He threw his blade at him with so much force it, made a light noise as it sailed straight for her. Her reflexes were quicker, quicker than the blade slinger expected. With quick movements she dodged it, a quick lean to the opposite side.
She glanced behind her, looking how deep the blade was lodged into the bark of a tree, it caused a deep split from there downward.
She looked back at the man in a crouched position, and let out a terrifying snarl. She was ready to attack.

Phrax's crouch was more hunched over then anything. He bared his fangs in a clear challenge. The canines were massive, protruding from his mouth almost like tusks. But it was the vicious grin that emanated confidence, power and a callous brutality that worried most. "I commend you, not many get past that old trick. But then, where's the fun?" He spoke clearly, his accent now becoming prominent. It was a mix of hundreds of dialects, but it was more like a mix of a Liverpudlian and an Italian.
He charged towards her, feinting a punch to the ribs, then delivering a hard kick to the Vampire's leg. But the woman's fist popped into Phrax's face with a cruel rabbit punch

Jessalyn hadn't rememembered the last time she had been hurt, let along charged at. Her moves were quicker than his, her reflexes sharper. But this was no human, he crouched lower and his fangs long. His fighting skills seemed effortless as if he had done this before, his strength a;most 10 fold hers.
Her anger flowed out of her as she pushed him, with the most strength she could muster. His body flung back, as his back hit a tree, it didn't seem to fase him much, but just enough to send a round kick to his face.

This Batbeast was faster then the ones Phrax had grown accustomed too. But they had been arrogant members of the Volturi. Phrax took the kick across the face hard, dazing him for a split second. His instincts kicked in, and he barely managed to fall to the floor as the girl's punch whizzed overhead.
The Werewolf send his fist hurtling towards her leg, but in a flash of soft flesh, the leg was gone, and Phrax had punched a very big hole in the tree.

Flipping backwards she landed in a lower crouched position than before, one leg stretched out the other pulled under her, both hands on the ground. Her lip curled over her teeth as she hissed at him, daring him to continue.
"Who are are you warrior, where do you come from?" Her questions were sharp as was her voice. "What are you?"

Phrax sprang to his feet, rolling his neck again, but this time getting a very large click for his efforts. He glared at her, his rage ceasing. For now. "I am the Hunted. I am one of those who have been driven to the brink of extinction. I am a Lycanthrope. A Werewolf. And you share the same taint of Casius, something I cannot abide." each word dripped with unfettered rage, and yet were delivered slowly, as if each word was a glass bead on the tip of his finger.

"What the-" Lily yelled as she fell while Jessalyn dodged the blade. She hurried to her feet and realizing she wouldn't be able to run with her shaky legs, so she hid behind a large tree. She could see houses not to far away but she didn't want to leave Jessalyn, so she stood frozen.
Lily watched as they fought and heard Jessalyn say, "What are you?" He's some really big dude...what else could he be. What she heard next shocked her,
"I am the Hunted. I am one of those who have been driven to the brink of extinction. I am a Lycanthrope. A Werewolf. And you share the same taint of Casius, something I cannot abide."
"Not possible..."was all she could whisper into the bark.
