Victoria wandered the woods alone. She and Laurent had decided to split up. She'd wanted to return to Forks to search for the little human bitch whose blood was so potent and seemed so delectible it made Victoria's nostrils burn to take in the scent. She wanted that girl's blood. And now she had the perfect excuse to get it. She would kill the little bitch slowly. Though she could grab the girl and snap her neck in a human heartbeat, she wanted to draw it out as much as she could, so it would be more enjoyable. She smiled wickedly as she saw herself ripping the damn girl limb from limb, to pieces slowly. She could hear the girl shrieking as though it was actually happening. And Edward Cullen would be in no position to save her. And then she would drain the dead body of all the blood it had. The hell with Laurent--this was her battle. She was sure her eyes were dark red. She had to feed and fast. She then stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of a human family on a picnic. Perfect. The three of them smelled delicious (but not as delicious as the Bella Swan girl did). Who should she kill first? The mother? The father? The child? She then decided: the child was the appatizer, the father the main course, and the mother desert. Victoria chuckled under her breath. She loved being a vampire. And there was no need to be careful. She was faster than the three of them combined. She loved the idea of picking off the kid first--the reactions of the parents as they watched their child being murdered would be priceless. They would scream and cry. But there was nothing they could do about it because they were next. After she had her fill of the child's blood, they would die next. She had half a mind to chase the parents for a while, just to draw out the hunt--to make it more enjoyable for her. It would lure them into a false sense of security--thinking they could get away from her. Humans were so damn stupid. She crept stealthily between the trees and crouched low, watching them. Oh, how cute. Too bad it wasn't going to last. Her throat burned with thirst, and her eyes blazed the dark red of hunger--of bloodlust. Go! a voice inside her--her instinct personified--commanded her. Just then, with a snarl that erupted to a growl, she sprung out from her hiding place. The mother screamed, and the child began to cry in fear. Victoria grabbed him before he could run to seek protection from his parents. "Aww, precious thing," she cooed in a horribly falsely sweet voice. "Don't cry. It will all be over soon." The mother screamed for Victoria to "put her baby down". The child screamed for her. Victoria ignored them both. "It will all be over--" With a wrench of her hands she grabbed the child's head and broke his neck with a 'snap'. He was dead instantly. "Now," she finished her sentence. She tossed his body aside like a ragdoll and lunged after the father. Though he was taller than her and appeared more muscular, he was by no means stronger. She went for his neck, ripping at it with her teeth. Blood spewed everywhere. He was dead in a minute, as well. The mother had gone hysterical in panic. She was shrieking and crying incoherently. She tried to run away, but her efforts were fruitless. Victoria caught her in a New York minute and went for her neck with her teeth, too. She attacked so violently, that the woman's head was hewn off. Blood dripping from her mouth, Victoria gathered the bodies together. She drank of the child's blood. She was sure she drained the body of all the blood it contained. She was sure she did the same to the father's body, but it was not enough. She felt insatiated. It had been days since she'd hunted. Her craving was overwhelming. She then devoured the mother's blood. Breathing heavily, she finally felt satisfied. Her thirst was finally quenched. Trying to provoke her enemies and prey, she grabbed the woman's severed head and raised it up. "Do you know of this, Bella Swan?" she called out. "Did your psychic Alice see this happen? Well if she can, hopefully she'll tell you that this is what's going to happen to you! This is your fate, Bella Swan! This is how you will die at my hands!" I will find you, human. And I WILL have your blood! she thought savagely. With that, she hurried off to continue her vengeful, obsessive quest for revenge upon Bella.

Where has everyone been lately? the thought kept repeating itself through Bella's head as she carefully picked her way through the trees. She had went down to La Push earlier to hang out with Jacob for a bit, but Billy had said that Jacob was out with Sam doing something, probably in the woods. So with her mind set on finding Jacob, that's where she headed.
Now she was far from the trail, trying desperately not to trip over anything. She had to find Jacob, he was her last hope to relieve her of her boredom. Her father was at work again, Edward had left to hunt yesterday, and Alice was dead set on a shopping trip. She rolled her eyes at the thought and said a silent thanks that she had managed to avoid the trip for now.
Well the shopping trip at any rate! she thought with a squeal as she tripped over a protruding tree root, barely breaking her fall with her hands. Immediately pain erupted through her right hand, the one that she had cut on that damned broken glass not too long ago. She sighed as she sat up and watched a small bird digging through the ground before coming up with a wiggling worm and flying up to the closest tree. She smiled as she saw a smaller beak poke itself up in the air, waiting for the food.
Her smile dropped, however, when she heard a blood curdling scream break out through the quiet forest. What the hell? she thought, as she quietly stood up and began, against her better judgement, to walk in the direction the scream had come from. She knew she should turn around and leave now, but some sort of morbid curiosity drew her in like a moth to a flame. She hadn't gone more than five feet when she heard the voice that haunted her nightmares scream.
"Do you know of this, Bella Swan? Did your psychic Alice see this happen? Well if she can, hopefully she'll tell you that this is what's going to happen to you! This is your fate, Bella Swan! This is how you will die at my hands!"
No, of course Alice hadn't seen anything concerning Bella and Victoria today. Bella was intent on finding the wolfpack to ease her boredom today. Thankfully, it sounded to Bella like Victoria was too far away to be able to smell her, so she turned around in the opposite direction, hoping desperately to find the road before Victoria found her. On her way she pulled out her phone and pressed a button on her phone.
"Please, Alice, please pick up your phone," she whispered, hoping desperately that Alice wasn't still mad at her for skipping today's shopping spree. She groaned in fear when Alice's voicemail picked up.
After the beep, she began to speak frantically. "Alice? Alice! Please, I know you have your phone with you. I just pray that you're ignoring this just so you don't have to speak to me. I hope that you check your voicemail as soon as I'm done leaving it. I'm not looking for Jacob anymore. My mind is changed so hopefully you will get a vision as to what's going to happen later. Look, I don't have much time. I need to get out of the forest and find you if you don't find me first. Victoria's back in town, sounds as if she just killed somebody not too far from where I am. A family from the sounds of the screams. She's after me, Alice. I'm alone in the forest and I'm scared to dea..." she couldn't finish what she was whispering into the phone, because she had apparently ran out of time for her message and she was disconnected from Alice's voicemail.
"Damnit," she said, frustrated. She could only hope that Alice checked her voicemail quickly. For now, she had to try to find her way out of the forest. That's what I get for leaving the trail, she thought fearfully.

I had been walking a long, minding my own business in the forest when I heard someone scream loudly. I turned to try and figure out where that horrid sound came from, but I couldn't. Then, I heard someone yell, '[iDo you know of this, Bella Swan? Did your psychic Alice see this happen? Well if she can, hopefully she'll tell you that this is what's going to happen to you! This is your fate, Bella Swan! This is how you will die at my hands![/i]' I grimaced as I thought, 'Well, Jake won't like this very much.' I then heard Bella whispering into the phone, trying to reach that psychic chick, Alice. I frowned as I realized that I was most likely gonna have to help her. Dammit. I sighed as I walked towards where I had heard her voice. It took a good 10 minutes, but I did find her eventually. "So, looks like you've got even more trouble on your hands. Big shock there," I said very sarcastically. But, you see, the thing was that me and Bella Swan weren't very different; She had the same feelings towards that Edward dude as I did to Jacob... The only difference was that she was loved back by both. I normally shed a tear when I thought about this, but I had learned to control it... sometimes.

Bella jumped and turned around. She eyed Alina for a moment and sighed.
"Look, Alina, Alice is on her way to help and I have to find my own way out of this mess. As much as I would appreciate your help, I just don't want to drag you into this and put you in danger. You haven't gotten your wolf status, or whatever it's called, yet, which means that you're in as much danger as I am if you hang around. I would never forgive myself if something happened to you because of this. So go on, it's not like I haven't been in this predicament before," she said with a small smile, trying to be brave and keep moving.

I smirked and said, "Nah Uh, girly. I'm gonna have to help you get out of here or else Jake will be pissed at me. And I really don't want that. So, I'm sticking with you, Bella." I smiled, trying to look friendly. "Anyways, who gives a crap about wolf status or whatever. I need an adventure that will give me some credit." Damn, why did she have to be so nice? It would be much easier to hate her guts if she was a bitch or something. But, nooo she had to be so damn friendly! You know, if Jacob didn't love her, we might've been good friends. I sighed inwardly. Maybe thats what I'll try to do- Be nice and friendly towards her. It might just impress Jake. Then, I felt my cell vibrating. I answered, then closed it. "Okay, so I do have to go. Sorry." I ran away quickly.

Bella smiled as Alina left. With Alina running from the woods, hopefully to safety, Bella turned her attention back to the next important matter. How she was going to find her way out of here without running into Victoria.
"Come on, Alice. Where are you?" she whispered just as she thought she saw a glimpse of red flash by her.

The planned shopping trip hadn't lasted as long as she had thought it would. It had probably been brought down by the fact that Rose and Bella had both refused to go. She hadn't even bothered to ask any of the guys and she'd already known Esme was busy. The main problem however had been the uneasy feeling she'd had all day. Bella had said she'd go visit Jacob so any visions of her had disappeared. It always tended to freak her out and cause Edward to get annoyed.
Speeding back into Forks she didn't realize her phone had gone off until it beeped stating she had a message. Glancing at the rode she reached over to grab her phone.
I'm alone in the forest and I'm scared to dea..." she couldn't finish what she was whispering into the phone, because she had apparently ran out of time for her message and she was disconnected from Alice's voice mail.
Coming out of the vision she had to swerve so she didn't go into the other lane. Frowning she flipped open her phone and dialed her voice mail and password.
"Alice? Alice! Please, I know you have your phone with you. -" With a snap Alice closed it and tensed up, heading for where Bella most likely was is she hadn't wandered too far. Trying to get another vision she panicked. Where had she gone? She'd just seen her! There was no way that Victoria could have found her and killed her already was there?
Alice upped the speed as she drove and quickly dialed her family leaving messages for everyone. She then hit Bella's number and let it ring praying to whatever god there was that she wasn't dead as she pulled to the side of the rode and turned off her car. She was right next to the forest. Slamming her door shut she trembled slightly. "Come on Bella....don't do this to me." The phone continued to ring.

Rosalie had been shopping and hadn't heard her phone ring. It wasn't until she had made her way to her car in the mall's parking lot and dug out her keys while trying to balance the shopping bag containing a new Coach handbag and the smaller one containing a bottle of Vera Wang perfume.
Her keys were in the same pocket as her cell phone and she pulled it out with them.
1 new VM 1 missed call
Rosalie shrugged and hit the View Now option.
Alice
Rather than question what her sister wanted, she opted for the Listen Now choice as she unlocked the car and got in.
"It's Alice. I'm driving towards the woods. I just got a vision and a phone call from Bella. Victoria is back in town. I don't think she's found her yet but she was pretty darn close. Meet me in the woods. We have to find Bella."
"Are you freaking kidding me?" Rosalie threw her phone across the car, not caring how many pieces it might shatter into. "This-AGAIN?!"
Find Bella....find Bella....yes, of course that's what they had to do...because that's all the Cullens seemed to do anymore. Rosalie muttered a few more creative adjectives in regards to Isabella Swan as she threw the car into reverse and sped off towards the forrest.
She hated bringing her car this far out of town. She was going to spend the entire next day washing it and trying to get mud out of the tires. Rosalie never brought her car this close to the forrest. It just seemed like an unneeded hassle-much like Isabella Swan.
Rosalie skidded the car to a stop behind Alice's, sending gravel spraying from the BMW's tires.
"I'm here." She got out, slamming the door behind her. "Did you find her yet?"

Alice growled lightly when Bella didn't answer her phone and hung up again, turning as Rosalie's BMW skidded to a stop behind hers.
"I'm here." She got out, slamming the door behind her. "Did you find her yet?"
"No," she said, glaring at the phone in her hand and bit her lip. "I couldn't get a vision either. She told me she wasn't looking for or with that stupid dog! Why can't I get a vision!?" Alice looked so frustrated as she started to dial Bella's number again and took a few steps towards the forest.

Esme had been reading several books on vampires. She always found them to be comedic yet worrisome. She did know the reason as to why people thought they were monsters and thus had to remain in hiding. She had missed a call from Alice. Upon reading the message. She called to whomever was in the house who would want to join her and ran to her car. She hopped in left time for anyone who wanted to join her.
She sped away towards the forest. Using her heightened senses she caught up with Alice. She climbed out of her car.
"Alice what has happened?" noticing Bella wasn't with them she began to worry. "We need to track down Bella. Who wants to climb through the trees and search from above? That should help."
Esme wouldn't mind climbing herself but she knew that if anyone else wanted to do so she'd let them.

Bella kept getting turned around. She always knew better than to leave the trail, but she hadn't thought anything of it earlier. The fact that she knew for sure that Victoria was somewhere close by didn't help matters in any way. If anything, it only flustered her.
She silently cursed herself as her pants caught on a branch. Gritting her teeth, she yanked her leg free, effectively ripping her pants in the process. She would have tried calling Alice again, but it would be useless. To do that she would have to yell, thus attracting possibly unwanted attention to herself. She had dropped her phone about ten minutes ago, but feared that if she stopped to look for it, it could very well be the last thing she did. Knowing that that didn't matter -- if Victoria knew she was in the forest as well, she was probably just toying with her before making her move -- then at this point she was a goner anyway.
"I swear, if I make out of this alive, I'm going to quit putting them in danger. I shouldn't have even called Alice in the first place. They've all got better things to do than save me," she muttered to the trees around her. She hated that she was always in this position for many reasons. One, she was beginning to annoy herself so she couldn't even begin to imagine how the others felt. And two, she didn't want to give Rosalie any other reasons to hate her. It killed her to know just how much the beautiful blond disliked her, and it seemed that with each situation Bella got into, that hatred just seemed to grow.

Jasper had decided to take the remainder of the day and use it for himself. Plus the fact that he had gathered that his wife would be looking for a shopping mate on her newest venture. So when Jasper had learned that both Bella and Rosalie had turned down Alice's shopping offer he had made himself scarce to avoid being dragged along himself. It wasn't that he didn't love spending time with Alice he just preferred doing so outside of a crowded mall. So he had taken Fastback and had spent the afternoon driving around the out skirts of town just enjoying the time alone with himself, the car, and his thoughts and nothing else. He had felt extremely on edge lately and it was beginning to fray his normally calm nerves and he had to be sure he kept himself in check for the good of his entire family.
As Jasper made his way back towards town and towards home his cell phone chimed that he had missed a call. The reception in the outskirts of town was never that good so it was not surprising. He flipped opened the phone his eyes flicking back from the road to the screen as he saw the missed call was from Alice. He placed the phone to his hear to listen to the message she had left.
"It's Alice. I'm driving towards the woods. I just got a vision and a phone call from Bella. Victoria is back in town. I don't think she's found her yet but she was pretty darn close. Meet me in the woods. We have to find Bella."
The message mixed with the worry in Alice's voice was enough to cause Jasper to discard the phone in the seat next to him and floor it to where his wife and the rest of the family was gathering.
Jasper made it to the outskirts of the woods in no time at all as he pulled the black Mustang to a stop next to the cluster of other Cullen vehicles that had gathered there. He was out of the car and by Alice's side in no time flat. Immediately feeling the tension and worry in the air; he did his best to fill the air around them all with calm and collective emotions it was after all the only way they would be able to find Bella if they were all thinking straight.
"What happened Alice?" Jasper asked calmly as his eyes fixated on those of his wife before looking back at the rest of his family that was there so far.

Snapping the phone shut she stuffed it in her pocket. Alice spun around as Esme arrived and relaxed slightly. The more that came the better. "We haven't found her yet. I've tried calling but she's not answering her phone."
Before she could continue she saw Jasper pulling up and waited for him to make his away over to the group that had gathered as Esme started working on a plan of action. The trees was a good idea. Her eyes stayed on Jasper the entire time he made his way over and she reached out for his hand before turning back to the group.
"I haven't been able to get a vision of her since she left a message on my phone a few minutes ago. She shouldn't be with Jacob since she told me she was not looking for him so I'm a bit more worried. Victoria shouldn't have gotten to her so fast anyways. She'd try and kill her slowly to suffer wouldn't she? Torture her to torture Edward?" Worry flashed through her eyes but it was quickly replaced as Jasper continued to work his power.
Turning to look at the forest she took a sharp intake of breathe.
Bella continued to wander around the forest. She had left the paths and kept getting turned around.
She silently cursed herself as her pants caught on a branch. Gritting her teeth, she yanked her leg free, effectively ripping her pants in the process.
Coming back to reality she looked around the small circle. "Part of her pants got caught on a branch and I think she probably doesn't have her cell phone since she's wandering around alone. She knows better than to ignore calls from us. Victoria wasn't there but there's no knowing how far off she is or if she's still around."

Edward had decided to take this day for himself. Bella was off to La Push, probably looking for her friend, Jacob Black. Lots of times, Edward wondered if he should stop hating this guy. After all, he was probably Bella's best friend, so he must be a good boy. But he always ended up on the same spot, the one where Edward reminded himself that Jacob was a werewolf. So, he figured it was way easier to hate him.
Edward had been driving his car for a couple of hours, without any destination. He just wanted to feel the speed. He didn't really pay attention when his cell phone rang, it shouldn't be important. But a few moments later, he changed his mind. What it it really was important? No one ever called him, unless something big was going on. Edward reached for his cell phone, which was still ringing on the back seat of his car. But it stopped a few moments before he could grab it.
Edward opened the cell phone, not really paying attention to the road. He noticed that the person who had called him, Alice, had left a voice mail.
"It's Alice. I'm driving toward the woods. I just got a vision and a phone call from Bella. Victoria is back in town. I don't think she's found her yet but she was pretty darn close. Meet me in the woods. We have to find Bella."
Everything seemed to slow down, even though the car was still moving fast. Memories from the last time Bella had spent time with a carnivorous vampire were rushing through Edward's mind as he tried frantically to find himself again. He had to drive to the woods, he had to find Bella. As soon as he was thinking rationally, or so he thought, Edward turned the wheel, eager to get there as soon as possible. Other drivers honked behind him, as Edward drove fast enough to piss everyone off.
Edward was slowly starting to panick, and that was not what he wanted. He was doing the best he could to try to remain calm, but it was rather useless. The vision of Bella lying on the floor of the ballet studio, the feeling of being too late, all of these emotions were lingering inside of his mind. Edward started to feel angry, but still, fear had taken over way before.
As soon as he parked his car on the side of the road near the woods, Edward saw that most of his family was already there. He slammed his door shut as soon as he got out of it, and ran toward Alice, Rosalie, Jasper and Esme. "Where's Bella? Have you found her yet? Alice, did you have any visions? Is Victoria far away?", he asked at once, as soon as he got close to the group. The panick he was feeling had clearly affected his voice, since it cracked three times as he asked the questions.

Esme rushed to Edward who arrived with fright. She wanted him to calm down abit. The search would not go well if he was over excited. She stood in front of him raising her arms to help him calm down. He didn't need to be completely calm but less than he was now.
"Edward, we haven't found her. According to Alice Bella has caught part of her pants on a branch. She is also ignoring our phone calls. We are working out the strategy we will use to find her. We WILL find her, Edward." Turning her attention to the others she knew they couldn't afford to wait any longer.
"Rosalie and Jasper you two go and be our eyes from the skies. Stay together and climb through the trees and if you catch any sight of her call. I'll also be in the trees. Alice, Edward can I trust you two to separate and be alright by yourselves? If not I can stay with either of you. We have to do this now. Victoria is upset and Bella needs to be safe. If anyone has any changes or wants to switch that is fine. We need to act now." Esme had a firm tone in her voice. She knew that if Emmett and Carlisle showed up they begin to search the forest ground.
