Jasper's attention turned to Alice fully as she suddenly exclaimed rather excitedly.
"What?" Jasper asked wondering what it was she had seen or not seen or who even knew for certain.
Jasper groaned in spite of himself as Alice shared that her vision had been about a party that two girls were throwing from the school.
"Darling I'm pretty sure we won't be included on that list you may have seen them sending it but don't forget we aren't the most popular family in Forks," Jasper replied gently hoping Alice wasn't far too excited by the idea of the party but he of course knew different.

A narrowed look was sent Jasper's way and she started to pout. She took her hand back and crossed her arms over her chest as he tried to carefully explain to her that they most likely were not invited.
"It was a mass e-mail so it went to everyone. I saw myself getting it," she defended, nearly sticking out her tongue at him like a human.

Jasper frowned slightly as Alice pulled her hand away from him and crossed her arms over her chest. He hadn’t meant to get her upset he had just assumed the natural order of things would go as follows…as they usually went in regards to the Cullens.
“Oh I just figured you had seen them send it,” Jasper replied with a small shrug not having meant to upset her.
More importantly he knew what was coming next and he dreaded to even think about it. An invitation to a party for Alice was like a guaranteed attendance…and she didn’t go to parties by herself.

Rosalie groaned as Alice spoke of what she'd seen. A party? Seriously?! And she was going to want to go, of course, because that would be Alice's way.
"Great, a party." She said sarcastically. "Just what I was hoping you'd seen. Wow, when is it, Alice? I can't wait to go."

Alice narrowed her eyes slightly at Rosalie. "You could always use it as an excuse to get some new exciting outfit Rose," she mumbled, her excitement deflating because none of her family seemed to be as excited as she had gotten.
It wasn't often there was a party in Forks. The only ones they'd really gone to had been ones Alice had thrown herself for everyone's birthdays.

Rosalie raised a thoughtful eyebrow. She could get a nice new outfit. Something that would make all the other girls jealous....something really expensive.
"Well, that is one way of looking at it." She mused, staring off into a corner of the cafeteria. "Maybe..."
No, but still, it would be a waste of their time. And who knew what could come of it?
"Do you seriously want to go to this thing?" Rosalie demanded, looking at Alice. "Like really? You want to go to this party for humans that we barely know and never associate with? Seriously, Alice?"

Jasper looked from Alice to Rose as they went back and forth about the party. His eyes darted around the lunch area looking for the help of either one of his brothers but he came up empty handed.
"Well if you guys are shopping then I suppose you could make it a girls night out sort of party..." Jasper offered as he looked at Alice hoping upon hope his "idea" would get him out of having to attend the party.
"You guys could have some sister time...going to the aprty and such and I will hear all about it when you guys get back I'm sure."

"Oh come on Rosalie," she said with a bit of a sigh, "We never go to parties...unless I make them. I want to have some fun in this town!" Before she could say more however Jasper spoke up saying something about trying to make it a girls night out.
Alice raised a brow and exchanged a look with Rosalie. Did he really think he could get out of going that easily? Chock it up to sisterly time? Seriously?

Rosalie groaned again, shaking her head. She didn't really want to go, human parties were not her thing. All those people and-.
Her thoughts stopped as she listened to what Jasper had to say. Rosalie empathatically shook her head no.
"Oh, no you don't. Don't think you're ducking out that easily, Jasper. You're going. So are Emmett and Edward. If Alice wants to go and I have to go, then we're all going. You know what, for that matter, I'll even drive. All you have to do is getting dressed and be ready when Alice says to go. I'm certainly not going alone."
Rosalie knew Alice would harp on this until she agreed to go, and there was no way she was going to let her husband and siblings get out easily.

As soon as Jasper saw Alicee xchange a look with Rosalie he knew he was screwed before either one of them got to say anything.
"I just thought it sounded like a "girls" night...sisterly bonding possibilty," Jasper said trying to defend his idea to Alice and Rosalie but he knew he wasn't going to get anywhere.
"And not kill anyone while I'm there," Jasper muttered under his breath as Rosalie listed off the only thing him and his brothers would have to do in regards to this party which had suddenly become the topic of choice at the Cullen table.
His eyes turned to Alice, he knew she wanted to go to this party. Parties were Alice's heaven so to speak...Jasper hated them. Problem was he loved Alice more.
"Really? You really want to go to this thing?...Want me to go to it?" Jasper asked knowing the answer as soon as he asked it but deciding to try one last ditch effort to save himself.

A grin spread across her face as Rosalie stated everyone was going. Good old Rosalie. She knew her 'sister' didn't like human parties all that much but seeing as she'd get a new outfit and get attention Alice knew Rosalie would join her side.
She turned to see Jasper still trying to get out of it and rolled her eyes, looking excited about the party. She knew he wasn't the biggest fan of them but it really would not kill him to go to one. After all they hadn't been to a good non-Cullen thrown party in a good many years. (Though the Cullen men would probably say that one party a decade would be too much.)
"Really? You really want to go to this thing?...Want me to go to it?"
Alice's smile quickly started to fade and she tried to keep it in place. A flicker of confusion passed through her eyes. Of course she wanted him to go to the party! What was the point if Jasper wouldn't be there to enjoy it, or pretend, with her.
Suddenly a flash of worry passed through her golden orbs. Was he worried about hurting someone?

"I heard that." Rosalie looked at Jasper, a disapproving look on her face.
"Oh, come on, Jasper. It's just like any other day at school. You do fine with that. It's not going to be any big deal."
She turned to Alice, shooting her a look. If Alice didn't get Jasper swayed, then Rosalie was out and the subject wouldn't even be mentioned to Emmett and Edward. Well, Edward would figure it out anyway, but regardless.
Rosalie idly traced her fingers through the puddle of condensation the bottle of tea was forming on her books. She picked up the bottle and turned it over in her hands.
"I don't know how they drink this. Do you think it even tastes good? I bet half the people who drink this can't even pronounce the ingredients."

Alice looked up as Rosalie told Jasper to get over it. She perked up slightly. It would be like any other school day wouldn't it? She smiled at Rosalie, thankful for her trying to get Jasper to come. (Though knowing Rose it was probably some other motive.) "Yea Jasper come on," she said, "It'll be entertaining at least."
She raised a brow as her sibling began to wonder on water.

Jasper smiled slightly as Alice once again began to perk up in regards to the idea of going to the party. He couldn't tell her no, he could never tell her no. She would be the death of him one day but it would be soething he would gladly suffer through because he would walk to the ends of the earth for her even if he did complain half of the way there.
"If you insist on going I'll have to go to make sure none of the boys of Forks get drunk enough to decide to have a pass at you...it could take a trun for the worse," Jasper said with a soft smile trying and he was pretty sure failing at a joke.
He wasn't at all fond of the idea of this party but he would go, if only for Alice. It was always for Alice.

It had been some time since Edward last sat with his brothers and sisters during lunch time without Bella. It felt weird, really, it reminded him of old times. For some reason, Bella hadn't showed up on the classroom, and Edward ended up getting his food all alone.
Edward approached the Cullen table just in time to hear his brothers and sisters talking about going somewhere "You guys are talking about going to....?", he asked, as soon as he sat down.
