Mike made his way into the lunchroom which was pretty empty for the most part because they had gotten out of class a few minutes early. He sat down in his spot at their normal lunch table and looked around the barely filled room not seeing any of his friends yet as he picked absent mindedly at his food.
He wondered what Bella was doing for lunch and if she would come and join them or if she had plans with the Cullens again. His eyes shfited outside as rain began to fall from the sky another normal day in Fork.

Because she had been wondering the halls, as she usually did back home, Lily happened to be one of the first people in the lunchroom. She saw a few of the other students wondering in the lunch line and to their respective tables. She to got in the lunch line, but once she got it Lily had know idea where to sit.
"Dang," she said not seeing any of the few people she knew. Though she did glance at a boy sitting by himself and decided to join him. Sliding into a chair beside him Lily said, "Hey, you don't mind if I sit with you do you?" and she flashed him her best smile.

"Hey," Mike replied to the new girl who had made her way over to the still emoty lunch table. He didn't recognize her so he figured she had to be new it seemedd like Fork was getting a few new people these days.
"Sure have a sit," he said with a friendly smile as he took a bite from his food ebfore cleaning his hands off on his jeans and extended his hand to her.
"Mike Newton," he said introducing himself with a smile.

"Lily Wilson," Lily replied shaking Mike's hand. He seemed like a nice guy, but maybe that was it, he's too nice.
"So, Mike are most people around as nice as you seem to be?" Lily asked. She was trying to get a lay of the land as some would say, trying to see where she would fit.

“Nice to meet you Lily,” Mike replied with a smile as the new girl introduced herself to him.
Mike shrugged his shoulders slightly as Lily asked if everyone was so nice. He really couldn’t answer for everyone he knew he tried to be nice enough to people unless they deserved otherwise.
“I guess it all depends on the people,” he said looking around the lunch room again.
“But people here are nice enough. I like it anyways been here my whole life,” Mike said with a smile as he turned his attention back to the girl.
“So where did you come from Lily? You’re new right?”

"Yeah, just moved from a little town called Dublin." Lily said sarcastically. She wondered slightly if many of the people around here were new, because she had heard more than the typical Forks accent when she listened to some people.
Mentally she was cursing her uncle for making her live in a place were most things could be called 'typical'. She looked around the room as it began to fill, "So any advice on who I should avoid?"

“Like in Ireland?” Mike asked knowing the question probably sounded stupid to the girl but it had to be asked anyways.
“I’ve never really much ventured far outside of Forks. What made you go from all the way over here to Forks of all places?” Mike asked interested to hear the girls story if she was willing to share it as he took another bite of food.
“Nah I don’t really like to talk bad about people…you should just be careful around some people…I’m sure you’ll be able to pick them out easily enough,” Mike replied the last bit of his sentence muttered as his thoughts quickly went to Edward Cullen.

"Yeah, like in Ireland." Lily said, laughing at Mike's curiosity. She didn't know exactly why she asked Mike about people because someone like Mike didn't usually hang around the types of groups she was used to.
"Well, I'm not exactly what you'd call an angel. My gran got sick of me so she sent me here to live with my uncle...Maybe you know him? Orrin Wilson, he works for the local trucking company." Which was good for Lily because it meant that she would have the house to herself, often.

“Wow that’s pretty cool...not the whole getting sent away but the whole Irish thing,” Mike said impressed by the fact that the girl had come from so far away. Usually people came from a few states over but he had rarely met anyone who had come from a few countries over. His eyes scrunched slightly in confusion as Lily proclaimed herself to be no angel and shared that her grandmother had sent her off to forks.
“Yeah I’ve heard of him he knows my dad. My dad owns the outfitters store in town,” Mike explained the connection between his dad and her uncle.
“You seem nice enough to me,” Mike said still wondering what the girl meant about her not being an angel not that he was anyone to judge or anything he was just curious about people was all.
“So what’s it like over there? In Ireland I mean? I’ve barely been outside of Washington never mind halfway across the world,”: Mike explained hoping he didn’t sound like too much of a nerd but he was genuinely interested.

"I'm not used to people telling me that being Irish is cool." Lily laughed again, adding a hair flip. "I may seem nice now, but you don't know me that well." Lily said with what she hoped was a mischievous smile.
"Well, Dublin has a bit more going on than this place," she gestured to the lunchroom, "But outside of the city, Ireland and Forks are pretty similar. You know rain and everything."

Mike laughed as the girl explained she wasn’t sued to people proclaiming being Irish was cool.
“That’s probably cause Irish people don’t tell each other that,” Mike said looking at the girl curiously as she stated that he didn’t know her very well which was a rather spot on assumption.
“We have things to do every so often,” Mike explained as the girl pointed out the rather uneventful lunch room.
“Like sometimes we’ll go down to the beach when it’s sunny and not cold of course,” Mike explained with a smile.
“Winter is always fun well aside from the freezing of course but if it snows enough one day this year you’ll have to take part in this epic sized snowball fight I’ve been planning forever it’ll be awesome!” Mike explained really hoping that they could do it this year.
“Really?” Mike asked as the girl explained that outside of the city Ireland was some what like Forks.

"There are beaches around here...didn't know that, well that might just be this place's saving grace. I haven't actually been to many beaches, but they always seemed like fun on TV." The idea of going to a beach some day in the future made Lily feel slightly better about her surroundings.
She shrugged at the idea of an epic snow ball fight, what was with boys and there need to throw freezing balls of snow.
"Well, they may not be completely alike, but both Ireland and Forks are extremely green."

"Yeah I mean it isn't anything like amazing but it's really nice out there I'll have to invite you out to one of our next trips you'll like it," Mike said as Lily explaiend she didn't know about the surrondings of Forks.
"You're really not to happy about being here are you?" Mike asked as he looked at her for a moment. He could tell by the tone of her vocie she wanted to be anywhere but in Forks.
"No seriously it will be a good time!" Mike said enthusiastically about the snow ball fight as Lily seemed to shrug it off. he didn't understand why people couldn't get mroe into it it would be a great time.

"That'd be fun." Lily said about the invite to the beach. She would really have to learn more about her surroundings if she was going to be living her for a long period of time. "Someone's really gonna have to show me around."
"Oh is it that obvious. I'm not used to not having much to do, theres more entertainment in cities." Lily sighed, missing the busy streets and night clubs.
"If you say so, I'll join if there's absolutely no chance I'll be hit in the face." Brushing cold snow off your face with snow covered hands wasn't exactly Lily's idea of a good time.

"I can totally show you around there isn't too much to see like we have our spots and our things and I'm sure everyone else will take to you as well," Mike said wondering how exactly Jessica would take to yet another girl joining their group she tended to get a bit upset at times. The truth was Lily sort of reminded Mike of Bella when she had first come to Forks.
"Just a little," Mike said with a smile as Lily asked if her discontent with Forks was obviouse.
"I don't think I can give you my word on that one," Mike said with a slight grimace.
"Things do tend to get a little crazy in epic snow batteles you know there are no friends no mercy," Mike replied with a laugh as he looked back at Lily.
